Finding fuel line O rings for Ducati Monster 696

I am trying to fix a fuel leak on my 2009 Ducati Monster 696. I have the part numbers for the whole delivery and return assemblies but I only need the small o rings inside them. I checked the California Cycleworks website and could not find the right gaskets. I want to buy some Viton or Nitrile rings because they last longer when they are in contact with gas. But I am having a hard time finding a shop that sells just the seals. Does anyone know where to buy these without paying for the entire hose assembly? Should I try an industrial supply store to see if they have the right size in stock?

I heard about people using plumbing gaskets from a hardware store but those will fail quickly. Those cheap rings are not made to handle modern gas and will turn to mush. Stick with the Viton material because it can actually handle the chemicals in the fuel.

Make sure you put a little bit of grease on the new rings before you slide them into place. This helps them seat correctly so they do not get pinched or torn. And it is a good idea to prime the pump and check for leaks before you put the tank back down.

You should use a digital caliper to measure the width and thickness of your old rings to get a perfect match.

You can order the exact size from an industrial supplier like McMaster Carr if you have the measurements. Most of these fuel lines use a standard metric size that is easy to find. And they usually arrive at your door in just a few days.

@ken.jaime I found a multi pack of Viton rings at a local auto parts store that worked great for my bike. They cost much less than buying the whole hose from a dealer. Just make sure the box says they are safe for use with fuel.

I ran into the same problem and found out that Ducati does not list those seals as separate parts. It is frustrating to buy a whole assembly for a small piece of rubber. But you can often find small kits on eBay that are made just for the 696 fuel pump.
