696 for a beginner?

I want to get a 696 i like how it looks and it's not too powerful so i think I'll be fine. No experience with these bigger bikes so i want to hear your thoughts if it's good for a relative beginner and things to look for? Also, what's the price of these used?

I know a powerful bike can be scary but as long as you know what you're getting and how powerful it is, you'll be fine. I've seen hotheads do more damage with scooters than people with 1000cc bikes. Ride safe and ride smart and don't ever think about getting on the bike without the proper protective gear, don't ask me how I know
