Hi All.
I’ve decided on getting a new Ducati Monster SP and wanted your advice if I should wait this season out until the 2026 MY is announced? Is the speculation of the V2 engine on the Monster something worth waiting for and a possibility of being on the 2026 version?

If you're really into the new V2 engine rumors, it might be worth waiting for the 2026 Monster, but nothing's official yet. If you want to ride now, the current Monster SP is awesome and wont disappoint. So it just depends if you want to wait or ride today

Nothing is official yet, but it should be in the following months, meaning the 2026 should be available for orders in late fall, I presume. I would say wait for the 2026, but here's the kicker. There will likely be a waiting list for the preorder, so there's no guarantee you'll be able to get your immediately. On the other hand, you can get the 2025 model now and sell it later and get the new one, but you'll need to be prepared to lose a few bucks. If I were in your shoes I'd probably never manage to decide. I love to ride, but I also love to see what they offer with the new one. Good luck deciding :)

If you're sold on the Monster SP now, I'd go for it, no guarantee the 2026 model (if there even is one) will have a V 2 engine or any major change. If you really want the latest tech and can wait, sure, but there's always speculation that may not pan out

Don't hold off because of rumors if the Monster SP works for you now. The 937cc is really great, and you could be riding for two seasons while others are still just guessing.

I've talk to the responsible for Ducati in my country, he was in an event here, He said that probably al the line with 937 V2 will not have engine changes for a while. just aesthetic or maybe some new tech change.

But, in your shoes I'll probably look for a monster 1200S, I don't really like the monster with out the truss frame.
