I notice some people swapping the standard bars for clip ons to get that aggressive cafe racer look.
Well, I think it definitely changes the lines of the bike for the better. But my back starts to protest after thirty minutes of riding through the city. lol
Have you made the swap and did you find a way to stay comfortable on longer trips? I did and I'm not so sure now.

I did the swap on my M750 and I love the way it looks over the front wheel. Makes me feel much more connected to the road when I am leaning into a turn. But I have to admit my wrists are usually sore by the time I get home.

You really need to check your cable routing before you commit to the change. My throttle cables were way too long and they kept bunching up against the triple clamp. I had to spend another hundred dollars on shorter custom cables.

Have you looked into the Woodcraft risers for your clip ons? They give you a little bit of lift so you are not bent over as far as a pure race setup. It made a huge difference in my comfort level for my daily commute.

I havbe one issue. The steering lock is the biggest issue for me after the conversion. My thumbs get pinched against the tank when I am trying to do a tight U turn in the driveway. You have to be very careful with where you position the bars.

I tried clip ons but I went back to a low profile flat bar instead. I don't think I'm going to try again anytime soon. It gives you almost the same look without putting so much weight on your hands. It is a good middle ground if you still want to do longer rides on the weekends.
