Finding the perfect exhaust for the L twin sound

For me, nothing beats the sound of a Ducati L twin when you get the exhaust right. Of course I prefer the deep growl of a Termignoni system, but some of my friends swear by Akrapovic for the build quality. We all want something that sounds mean without being so loud that your neighbors hate you every morning. Anyone here got scolded by neighbors?

And remember, you might need a new fuel map to keep the bike running smooth. Is anyone here a fan of the high mount pipes or do you like the low tucked look better?

Went with a set of slip ons and the weight difference alone made it worth the swap. The bike feels much narrower at the back and now I can actually hear the engine over the wind noise. I was worried it would be too loud for my morning commute but it has a nice mellow idle.

Good to know!
