Is this gap on my Ducati wheel normal?

I got a flat tire on my Monster 821 and took it to a new mechanic to get it fixed. He replaced the rear tire and the wheel bearings for me. After the work was done, he pointed out a small gap between the wheel hub and the rim. He said that on most bikes, the hub sits flush against the rim and asked me if this was normal for a Ducati. I honestly never paid attention to it before. So... is a small gap on the rear wheel of a Ducati Monster 821 a normal thing or should the hub be completely flush with the rim?

Hey, if you spot a little space between the wheel hub and rim on your Ducati Monster 821, no worries. It's usually how it's made to keep the wheel lined up right and working well. Unless the space looks huge or you notice something else weird, you're totally good to go

yh, I believe the hub doesn’t sit perfectly flush because of the way the cush drive and spacer setup is designed
