MWR air filter any good?

Buddy of mine been telling me to replace my stock air filter with the MWR. Its a 2022 Ducati Monster 1200 btw. He says it seals its air box perfectly and that it will have a far better flow. So I did a little research and many Monster owners mention that its pistons are way too huge and the stock air filter doesn't fit accordingly. Any thoughts?

I've heard the buzz about the MWR filter for the Monster 1200 but never about the stock filter not fitting. A biker I just met one weekend was happy, mentioning the improved airflow! Maybe the others were talking about an older Monster model?

Yup, that's a known gripe, those big ol pistons gulp air like crazy, and yeah, stock airbox kinda chokes it. Lotta folks upgrade to open lid or pod filters to breathe way better

Regarding the MWR air filter, your friend is correct, it is renowned for its superior airflow and sealing on the Ducati Monster 1200. The MWR is a good upgrade because the stock filter may have trouble due to those large pistons. Installation is a little complicated because the airbox and tank must be dropped, and ideally the ECU will be remapped afterwards

Sprint makes a sweet drop-in for the 1200s, mine's a 2016 but I am sure they have all newer models covered. Very high flow and no oiling

How about pairing it with an ECU remap or fuel controller?

It can change how the bike meters fuel and remove some of the restrictions of the OEM setup.
