I just hit about 435 miles on my new Ducati 937+. There's a rattling noise above 2500 RPM, which Ducati says is normal desmo valve soundmbut I really dislike it, has anyone else notice this on theirs?
Congratulations on the new bike! The rattle you're hearing is pretty common, especially on the newer Monsters. A lot of that is the dry clutch and desmo system doing its thing. So it's totally normal and something you get used to over time. But if you're concerned, double-check your chain tension or any loose fairings. Otherwise, there's nothing wrong and it's likely just normal operation.
Hi, congrats on the bike.
As a 937 you not have a dry clutch, so that can only be the desmo system working...
If you are concerned, you can check in other ducati workshop, or some expert on ducati not an oficial one.
