Riding my Ducati Monster to Asheville

I had to cancel my March vacation but I still have ten days of time off that I need to use.

I decided I will take my Ducati Monster up for a solo trip from Virginia to North Carolina. I want to see the famous scenery and I will probably ride back through to get home. I have never been to this part of North Carolina before so I am looking for the best roads and spots to visit. It should be a great ride if the weather stays clear for the trip. But I need to make sure I plan my route well to see as much as possible in those ten days.

That seems like an adventure. You might want to consider the Blue Ridge Parkway as your main artery south. It is your best route and also the best riding area of western North Carolina.

@scuffkid Have you considered trying to ride the Cherohala Skyway and the area around Little Switzerland? The wide turns will be more fun on your bike than the Dragon’s tight, chaotic turns.

make sure you keep an on the forecast and remember cold pavement is much slipperier, even in sunlight.
