I am looking at a 2016 Triumph Tiger 800 XC because I need a more comfortable riding position to keep enjoying my time on the road. This bike only has 3000 miles on it and comes loaded with hard bags plus extra engine guards and a skid plate. The original owner did the first service at 800 miles and has kept the oil fresh ever since. It looks brand new but it still has the original tires from eight years ago which I know I will need to replace immediately for safety. The seller wants 8000 dollars but I offered 6000 and we are still negotiating the final price. I want to know if there are hidden mechanical issues I should check for on a bike that has sat for this long. And I would love to hear if this model is the right choice for someone moving away from a more aggressive street bike.
