My bike has always been a bit grumpy on start up even when using a new battery. Takes a few tries to get her going. But once she's running, she's great!
I changed to a lithium battery hoping for quicker starts. now she barely starts and dies right away! It has become worse!

what could I have done wrong? Any advice on what to check first? thanks!

maybe it's the lithium battery, I think the bike needs to get a checkup

It seems like the lithiuum battery could be the culprit here. These batteries are quite sensitive to immobilizer drain and require a charger that's compatible. Also, take a look to see if the Cold Cranking Amps (CCA) are lower than those of your original battery,it might be having trouble starting. Ensure the battery is fully charged, and if it's brand new and still isn't workin, you might want to think about swapping it out. Hope that helps
