2014 Ducati Monster 1200 idling issue

I've got a problem with my 2014 Monster 1200. It dies when the RPMs go under 2k at idle. It used to sit steady at 1,500 RPM. Any ideas what could be causing this?

If it cuts out under 2k, that's not "just Ducati character," that's a problem. Could be clogged injectors, vacuum leak, or a bad idle control. Don't keep riding it like that unless you want it to quit mid-intersection.

Check the throttle bodies for dirt buildup first of all

You might want to consider running a diagnostic scan. It can tell if the idle valve or sensors are not working right, and that is the best way to find the problem before changing parts.
