Does anyone have a step by step workup of removing the rear shock and replacing the spring?

i have a hyperpro progressive spring for my rear shock to try to set the sag correctly for my fat ass. Can anyone help me with a step by step? Thanks. BTW i am with a 2017 Monster 821

The first thing you need to do is measure the bike’s rear height with the wheel off the ground. Measure again with only the bike’s weight, then once more with you in full gear. The difference between these readings gives the static and rider sag.

You must aim for around 30 to 35 mm of rider sag on the rear and if you are outside that range adjust preload gradually until you get close.

To correctly set the rear Rider Sag with the new Hyperpro progressive spring, you first need to establish the L1 by measuring from the axle center to a fixed frame point while the rear wheel is off the ground. Then while sitting on the bike in full gear, take the L3 after settling the suspension, and then calculate the current sag by subtracting L3 from L1. Lastly, use a spanner wrench to adjust the shock's preload collar, turning it clockwise to add preload to reduce sag or counter-clockwise to reduce preload or increase sag, until your Rider Sag is within the target range and tighten the lock ring once finalized.

I think everyone has been quite clear about this. I just wanna add one tip.
that is to remember to start with your preload set to zero before you begin the sag measurement process.
The progressive Hyperpro spring should make that Monster 821 handle your weight much better. Just focus on hitting that 30 mm rider sag target. everything else is secondary
