I have a 2020 ducati monster 1200 r, and I’m thinking about flashing the ECU.
I just moved to Virginia last month bcs of work, so I don’t know anyone or any reliable workshop here
Is it possible to flash the ECU, and where can I do that?

Try checking if you have Ducati Flash Tune mail-in service or Rexxer available in your area. You pull your ECU, ship it out, they flash it for your exhaust or filter setup, and then send it back. So no local shop needed!! You can also use a handheld tuning device like UpMap.. you plug it in the diagnostic port and flash the tune yourself. I think those two would be the easiest options for you right now since you don't know any local tuner. These services are well-established so don't worry about reliability!

I wish I had known about this mail in flashing service earlier, I got the same issue, and I went to Duc Pond motorsports in Winchester. it's great, tho. they solve all of my problems. if you want experts handling your Monster, you can go to them

Rexxer can sell you the independent tablet as well (like OFT uses), so you can load tunes or go back to stock in just a couple minutes.
I went this route as I was chasing a CEL and wanted to check conditions in both states. Very convenient.

Did you get to check Rexxer?

@bikeN5mores I also have a Rapidbike module with full harness and bypass plug for the Monster 1200R if you are interested in going that route; tunable piggyback unit that makes no changes to the stock ECU, and allows you to either use standard files or play with your own setup. Full system in box, reach out if that makes more sense to you.

dude, welcome to VA! for a reliable shop here, check out Redline Performance in Yorktown or Richmond Superbike Both are Ducati specialists and have Dynojet centers
if you're near NoVA, Coleman Powersports has a dedicated Ducati tech section that’s top tier for maintenance
