M1200 Battery Warning Light?

First start after winter, had bike on battery tender.

Bike started fine but noticed it was cranking a bit slower than usual.
Battery Warning Light stayed on. Plus "Battery Maintenance" under it.

I put the battery on a C-Tek 5amp charger and it reconditioned fine.
Started bike. Battery Warning light still on, but "Battery Maintenance" was off.

Took bike for a 30km ride and warning light stayed on.

Does the Dealer need to reset the warning perhaps???

Bike is a 2020 model with only 5,000 km.

Double-check the tightness and cleanliness of your battery terminals first. and then rule out alternator/regulator problem by performing the voltage test across the battery terminals while the engine is running. But most issues like this need dealer visit for diagnostics.

Thanks for that, I was going to try your suggestions, but discovered the battery is hidden low in the frame in front of the rear wheel and looks very difficult to access! Bike is booked in to the Dealer next week for new tyres, so I'll get them to check / replace it if required.

Okay that's good. better get the help of pros. Keep us updated when you find out how they did it. Will help others with the same problem in the future.
