I am working on removing the stepper motor from my S2R1000 throttle bodies and want to use a manual fast idle lever instead. The S2R800 uses a lever that connects right to the throttle cam and I want to know if those parts fit my bike. My plan is to swap the left hand switch housing and the throttle cam then plug the holes on the throttle bodies. Has anyone tried this exact parts swap to see if the cable length and cam mounting points match up perfectly? Is it a good idea to check the parts diagrams for both bikes to see if the throttle body pins are the same size before I start.? But if the frames and airboxes are similar it should be a straightforward job. Does anyone know if the ECU will throw a code once that stepper motor is unplugged?
