Installing Misano fork cartridges in my garage

I am thinking about upgrading my Ducati with Misano fork cartridges and want to do the work myself. I want to know how hard this job actually is for someone working at home without a professional shop. I have seen some guides but I want to hear from people who have actually finished the install. It seems like a great way to improve the front end feel if the process is straightforward enough. But I am not sure if I need specialized tools that I do not already own. I just want a high level idea of the difficulty before I pull my forks apart.

Have you checked if you need a specific fork cap tool or a cartridge rod puller for this kit?

You should make sure you have a clean workspace and plenty of containers for the old fork oil.

Did you already decide on the oil weight and spring rate that matches your riding weight?

I was hoping someone would teach me how to do it. It looks simple but just pulling out the old guts and dropping in the new cartridges is kind of tricky.
