I'm working on the front brakes of my 2000 Ducati Monster M900. I was pulling the pistons out to swap the seals and clean things up but I ended up scratching a couple of them.
Now I need replacements but finding the right ones is becoming a real headache. My bike has P4 30/34 calipers and the pistons in them are 21mm tall. Everything I find online is only 16mm tall. I checked with Gotham Cycles and they were out, plus they said lots of people are looking for these longer ones. The kit I bought from OPP Racing had the shorter 16mm pistons. So it seems like there is more than one version of this P4 caliper out there. My local dealer told me the whole caliper unit is no longer available to buy new. He mentioned a couple of shops in England might have them but couldn't remember the names. I have the new seals ready to go, and I just need one 34mm by 21mm piston and one 30mm by 21mm piston.
