Starting Out on the G310R

I finally got to check out the BMW G310R and I think it's a great choice if you're a new rider. Exactly where I am right now.

Usually, what I hear is when people review smaller bikes, they'll say the tiny ones like those 125cc models just can't handle the freeway but I read a review straight up said he wouldn't tell anyone not to get the G310R to learn on. That’s a big deal for me coz knowing a bike can handle highway speeds right out of the gate is a huge relief and a selling point. I’m still figuring things out so that's helpful to know. I'm curious though what are some simple, low-cost modifications you'd suggest for someone just starting?

You know, you don't really need mods right away, but if you want the best bang for your buck on a beginner bike, focus on comfort and safety. like better levers, frame sliders (get a solid set of frame sliders to keep the plastics and engine case off the ground), or mirror extenders (I got this one and it's really helpful)

Best place to start is often rider comfort and protection rather than outright performance changes. A simple screen upgrade, sometimes called a windscreen or flyscreen, can noticeably reduce wind buffeting on your chest at higher speeds and makes highway rides much less tiring.

Investing in a quality set of Michelin Pilot Street Radials or Pirelli Diablo Rosso IIIs is the single best, low cost safety upgrade you can make. It dramatically increases confidence, especially in corners and under braking
