Swapping fuel tanks

Anyone here swapped their stock tank for a 999 fuel tank on their 800? I'm planning on doing this and would like to know if this is doable. thanks!

I doub't you'll see this as a simple plug and play operation. The shape, size and mounting points mean you'll need some fabrication to get it to fit. It's not impossible, but I wouldn't call it a mod that's worth it

I haven't done that but I'm not really trying to. I'm sure it can work, but I heard about what messing with your fuel tank can do and trust me man, you wouldn't want all the headaches that come from it.

Have you checked if the mounting points and fuel lines align properly between the two tanks? It might be worth looking into those details before jumping into the swap.

Looks like it's quite tricky to do. not sure if this is even possible
