Monster 1100S flywheel cover swap

I had a bit of bad luck and slid on some ice with my 2009 Ducati Monster 1100S and now I need a new flywheel cover.

I know that the engine in this bike is basically a version of the 1099, so I am hoping I do not have to buy a part specific to just the 1100S. Does anyone here know if I can use a flywheel cover from a different Ducati model on my 1100S, like maybe one from the standard 1100 or perhaps one of the other earlier 1098 or 1198 models that share similar engine parts? I am trying to find out what other models might have parts that cross over and it would be great if someone could share a quick tip on checking part numbers online. Thanks for the help!

check the Bike-Parts-Ducati website. it's a good resource to check parts diagrams and see all models that use the same part number

other than relying on Google, use an OEM Parts Fiche like the ones on AMS Ducati or Ducati Omaha. find the part number for your 1100S, then copy paste that number into their search bar
it will usually pull up a list of fits for these models. it’s much more reliable than guessing based on engine size!

That's how I do it too.
